Book Review: Never Again...Tale of a Stranded Legend by Shreyan Laha.

First Impression:
I got this book from the author himself in the favor of an honest review. So, thanks a lot for this book and an amazing note Mr. Shreyan Laha.
Coming to the book cover, there is a soldier standing, fronting his back in a war zone and there is one helicopter flying over. This book cover was the very first thing which ignites the interest in me to go through the book but the blurb was too interesting to be ignored. So, I must admit that the initial impression of the book was damn good.

Review:
‘Never Again’ is the debut novel of Mr. Shreyan Laha and I must say that he has all the potential to be the next big thing in this literary industry. This story is about a Nazi soldier ‘Kasper Hartman’ and his controversial diary which hides so many unknown secrets which could be the matter of controversy among the Indian politics.
The story is a mix-up of past and present scenes and mostly narrated from the diary named as “The Stranded Legend”. Author has used a simple yet gripping narrative style. Language is simple but the use of some German words makes it more interesting.
Author has tried to show that even a brutal Nazi soldier could be a soft-hearted man and has a very bad past.
First, few chapters seem bit confusing as I failed to understand that who is the actual protagonist but got my answers at the end. The whole storyline has lots of twist and turns which are capable of binding the readers throughout the book till the end.

Positive:

•Use of Simple yet attractive narration style.

•Use of few German words are acceptable and make the story more interesting.

•Lots of twist and turns which left reader amused.

•An engaging and different kind of story plot.

Negative:

•First few chapters are bit confusing.

•At some place, the story seems lost its pace.

•Lack of editing and spelling mistakes spoils the reading.

Verdict:
‘Never Again’ is that kind of historical thriller book which will surely leave its reader amused with lots of twist and turns. A book which has a perfect dose of thrill and excitement to the lover of thrillers. It consists around 232 pages so, one can easily read it in a single sit. Available at all the major e-commerce websites for Rs.125 + Delivery Charges. So, if you want to enjoy a historical thriller with an engaging story-plot then, ‘Never Again’ is worth your time and money.
